A hydrofoil is an underwater wing attached to a mast beneath your board. When you generate enough speed, the wing produces lift — raising the board completely out of the water. You are then flying on the foil, with only the mast tip touching the surface. The sensation is unlike anything else in watersports: silent, smooth, and otherworldly.
