New School Big Air on the World Stage — Slingshot at Lords of Tram 2026

KITE SPORT NEWS | LORDS OF TRAM 2026·April 2, 2026·Nikolai Dimitrov

Zac Adams 4th. Jeremy a hair's breadth away. Kimo — unbreakable spirit.

If you watched Lords of Tram this Saturday, you already know — Tarifa delivered. Wind, pressure and full gas from start to finish. The Slingshot New School Big Air team stepped onto the stage with serious intentions and we couldn't be prouder of how they represented the brand.

Kimo Verkerk — the crash and the unbreakable spirit

Kimo Verkerk had a scary moment at the end of his first heat. A heavy crash where he hit his head on the board. The result — a mild concussion and an injured wrist, X-rays being taken. But Kimo's spirit was intact. He handled the incident like a true pro — head held high, with a smile and with confidence we can all learn from. We wish him a fast and full recovery.

Zac Adams and Jeremy Burlando — from heats to the final

Zac Adams and Jeremy Burlando flew through the brackets — heat after heat, win after win. The two ended up together in the semifinal in a heat that will be remembered. Massive height, serious technicality and a style of riding that explains why this era is called New School Big Air.

Zac emerged from the semifinal as winner and secured his place in the final. Jeremy missed the final in heartbreaking fashion — score corrections from the judges came after the heat ended and changed the result. Brutal. But Jeremy didn't sink. He stayed on the beach, supported Zac until the last jump and showed himself to be just as big a champion as he is in the air.

Zac Adams — 4th place at Lords of Tram 2026

In the final Zac gave everything. The show he put on in front of judges and spectators in Tarifa ended with 4th place at Lords of Tram 2026. A massive result. But also a clear signal — this new generation of kiters is coming with something. And it's coming fast.

Code NXT V2 — Coming soon

If you watched carefully this week, you've already seen it in the teaser. The kite above their heads throughout the event? Code NXT V2. Coming soon. We at Slingshot Bulgaria are watching with anticipation. Code NXT is already in our collection — check it at our kites collection. But for NXT V2? Follow us — we'll be the first to tell you when it's here.

New School Big Air — what is the discipline?

For those of you getting familiar with the discipline: New School Big Air is the evolution of classic Big Air in kite sport. It combines massive height and long hang time with technical tricks — board-offs, double S-bends, front rolls and mega loops. Don't just jump and land. Jump, do something impossible and land clean. Slingshot has built a team specialised in this discipline — and Lords of Tram 2026 was further proof that they are among the best in the world.
